Waterloo Housing Association homes

March 2017

Waterloo Housing Association
Noralle are proud to announce that the social houses on their Napton development were handed over to Waterloo Housing Association on the 14th March 2017. Completion has taken place 17 weeks ahead of the scheduled programme, allowing early occupancy to the long awaited tenants and residents of Napton.

Audrey Budd

Audrey Budd, former land owner was pleased to join Noralle on site to witness the changes made to that which was once a local nursery / garden centre, run by herself and her late husband Cyril. Audrey has lived in the village for a number of years and witnessed many changes during her active role in the community. She is the sole surviving member of the Committee that fund raised and built Napton Village hall in the 1950's and is still on the hall committee today. Now in her 80's Audrey continues to use the hall facilities as an active and talented badminton and indoor bowls player. Bernard was also pleased to see the final stages of this development coming together, having spent 8 years working on the project prior to his retirement.

Bricklaying Award

Bricklaying Award
The Directors of Noralle are pleased to reward their latest bricklaying apprentice Connor Keyte who came first in the Junior Guild of Bricklayers Competition at Bournville College on Wednesday 15th March 2017. Connor has been awarded the trophy for 2017 and is now invited to take part in the Guild of Bricklayers National final which will be held at Derby College on Wednesday 21st June 2017. Richard Wingrove, a former apprentice and well regarded member of the Noralle team held this title back in 2003.

May 2015
Thanks go out to the team who cancelled holiday arrangements and instead worked over the Bank Holiday weekend to get a major renovation project back on programme. With the family in residence timing was critical and trades rose to the challenge.

During 2014 Bernard Alsop, a founding member of Noralle decided it was time to step down and let the younger and more energetic directors take full control. Reg Allen, Bernard's father in law presented the opportunity to start Noralle after seeing Penny and Bernard organise the construction of their stone built house in Napton almost forty years ago. The company name was in memory of Reg's wife Nora.

Bernard says: I had stepped back anyway and could see all was running smoothly. Work was being won, customers were happy and the company was in profit. Lorraine, Matt and Rob had built an excellent team of tradesmen who take pride in their work.
Noralle is in safe hands.

New Director

Lorraine, Matt and Bernard are pleased to welcome Rob Wilkes as a Director of Noralle. Rob has worked on many Noralle projects over the years. His management and practical skills strengthen our site control and help to maintain the quality product that Noralle are known for.

Ivan Stone

With great sadness we report the death of Ivan, who designed well over 100 individual homes for Noralle. His designs were in a class of their own and clients loved them.

Ivan passed away whilst receiving care in Hospital and his sudden death was a shock to us all. The day before he died Ivan saw an award presented to Noralle by Stratford District Building Control for the development he designed at Wattons Lane in Southam. A fitting tribute. Noralle still build some of Ivans ideas into our properties and that will always remind us of him.

Goodbye old friend.

The directors would like to thank all prospective clients for the patience they have shown during the long drawn out process of proceeding to planning. Every obsticle possible has been thrown in the way but we seem to have cleared them all, so now the planning officer has taken a holiday!
However we now have a planning number 13/00794/FUL and once the application is lodged on SDC web site "progress" can be followed. Letters of support or otherwise can now be forwarded (quoting that number) to:

Building Excellence Awards 2013

Noralle have been entered for Stratford District Council's Building Excellence Awards 2013. The Building Excellence Awards objectively identify and reward builders and developers who achieve the very highest standards in building construction across the full range of building sectors. The nominations have been assessed by an independent judging panel and Noralle have made it through to the final which will take place in March 2013.

Village Homes for Village People

2011 – 2012 saw Noralle getting involved with the “Village Homes for Village People” project in our home village of Napton.

Having successfully obtained permission and built individual village homes under Stratford District Council COM 1 policy (Local Market Homes) Noralle now have a scheme for twelve in Napton on the Hill. This is a mixture of 3 bed bungalows and 2, 3 and 4 bed houses. All will have a 106 Agreement regarding local occupation. Please download the PDF for detailed information of this project if you are interested and eligible to take advantage of this scheme.
